The stage is set for Bafana Bafana as head coach Hugo Broos has unveiled a 55-man preliminary squad for the upcoming AFCON tournament in Morocco, scheduled for 21 December 2025 through 18 January 2026.
The squad is the first major step in the build-up to AFCON, and it gives a clear signal of Broos’ intentions: maintain core experience, integrate young talent, and ensure readiness for Group B, which pits South Africa against Egypt, Angola and Zimbabwe.
