RCB have secured their second consecutive IPL title after defeating Gujarat Titans in Sunday’s IPL 2026 final, with Virat Kohli once again producing a match-winning performance when it mattered most.

The former India captain remained unbeaten on 75 off just 42 balls, guiding Royal Challengers Bengaluru through a tense final and helping Bengaluru successfully defend the championship they won last season. 

For years, one of the biggest narratives in IPL history revolved around Kohli’s pursuit of major silverware with RCB.

Now, remarkably, Bengaluru have become champions in back-to-back seasons.

For Gujarat Titans, defeat will be difficult to accept after another exceptional campaign.

The Titans were arguably the most consistent team throughout the league phase and once again demonstrated why they have become one of the IPL’s strongest franchises.
