In a historic move, Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time World Champion, has transitioned to Ferrari for the 2025 season, aiming to become the first driver since Fangio (1956) to clinch a world title with a third team, having previously won championships with McLaren and Mercedes. ​

Hamilton’s debut with Ferrari is set for the season-opening Australian Grand Prix at Melbourne’s Albert Park Circuit. Expressing enthusiasm for this new chapter, Hamilton emphasised his internal drive over external pressures, stating, “I don’t feel any pressure from outside; it’s all from within.” ​

Ferrari, without a Drivers’ Championship since 2007, is optimistic about Hamilton’s addition, hoping his experience will steer the team back to the pinnacle of Formula 1. ​
