General Motors-backed Cadillac has emphasised that the combination of Bottas and Perez offers not just raw pace, 10 F1 wins for Bottas, six for Perez, but also demonstrated leadership and technical insight. Both bring over 500 Grand Prix starts, collectively topping 100 podiums, making them ideal choices to help build a competitive team from the ground up.
Rumours had linked Cadillac to younger names, including Mick Schumacher and American talents like Jak Crawford, but the team chose proven achievers to smooth its entry into the sport.
