All Authorized Gets Plumpton Approval

All Authorized disappointed as a joint-favourite on his reappearance at Ascot recently but he can fare better with his sights lowered in the G.E.White & Sons Agricultural Buildings Handicap Chase at Plumpton on Monday.

Gary and Josh Moore’s six-year-old signed off last season with a win over the same course and distance he faces this time but that was over hurdles.

He had previously had two runs over fences without success so there was no point losing his novice status in the spring.

Those two previous outings over bigger obstacles came in relatively hot races won by Vincenzo and Kikijo so there was no disgrace in being beaten given his lowly rating and when he got back to winning ways in April, connections probably felt they could have some fun with him this season.

He never got involved at Ascot as, ridden patiently, he kept making small errors but was still in touch turning into the straight before seemingly blowing up.

He will strip fitter for that run and down in grade, he must have a chance if his jumping holds up.

Olly Murphy’s Adonedeal is sure to be a warm order in the preceding Royal Arch Racing Novices’ Hurdle on the back of a winning hurdling debut at Southwell last month.

A winning recruit from the pointing field, he changed hands for ÂŁ50,000 and that could prove a shrewd piece of business judged on the form of that opening run under rules.

Ben Pauling’s well-regarded Wondering Why was beaten over 6 lengths back on third on that occasion and has since pushed 2024 Derby runner-up Ambiente Friendly close at Huntingdon and it would be no surprise to see Adonedeal confirm he’s a handy player in this division.

Chris Gordon rarely leaves Plumpton without a winner and on three occasions that has been San Pedro.

He needs to bounce back in the Become A Racehorse Owner At Oldgoldracing.com Handicap Hurdle but there are reasons to believe he might.

Having his first outing of the season at Lingfield, he travelled well enough to halfway before dropping out tamely and pulling up.

That means he is back down to his last winning mark of 99, which came over the same course and distance he faces here.

Angel Gabriel could prove a topical winner on the all-weather at Lingfield when the dual runner-up bids to make it third time lucky in the Win ÂŁ250,000 With BetMGM’s Golden Goals EBF Novice Stakes.

Ralph Beckett’s daughter of Mehmas was a 140,000 guineas Book 1 purchase and caught the eye in defeat when debuting on heavy ground at Doncaster last month.

She was odds-on to go one better on her second start when disappointing favourite backers at Southwell, but will have still banked valuable experience to put to good use here, which could prove a winnable opportunity.

Charlie Appleby’s Al Qaysiyya is another to note in the Bet ÂŁ10 Get ÂŁ40 With BetMGM Fillies’ Novice Stakes now upped to 1600m having mixed it with some useful rivals on the turf in her first two starts before showing she is now ready for winning when second at Kempton 12 days ago. – Press Association
