Quarterfinal Recap

Blue Bulls 42-35 Edinburgh

In Pretoria, the Bulls overcame a spirited Edinburgh side in a high-scoring encounter. Edinburgh started strongly, taking a 21-8 lead within the first 30 minutes. However, the Bulls responded with a five-try blitz, turning the game in their favour. Cameron Hanekom’s dynamic performance and the Bulls’ aggressive play in the second half proved decisive, despite Edinburgh’s late resurgence.

Sharks 24-24 Munster (Sharks win 6-4 in shootout)

In Durban, the Sharks edged out defending champions Munster in a dramatic penalty shootout after a 24-24 draw in extra time. Munster led 21-10 with 18 minutes remaining, but the Sharks fought back to level the scores. In the ensuing shootout, the Sharks converted all six of their kicks, while Munster’s Rory Scannell missed one, sealing the Sharks’ first-ever semifinal appearance.

Leinster 33-21 Scarlets

Leinster secured a semifinal spot with a 33-21 victory over the Scarlets at the Aviva Stadium. Hugo Keenan’s standout performance, including a crucial try, and contributions from James Lowe, Jamison Gibson-Park, and Jamie Osborne, propelled Leinster forward. Despite a competitive first half, Leinster capitalised on Scarlets’ second-half indiscipline to pull ahead.

Glasgow Warriors 36-18 Stormers

Glasgow Warriors returned to form with a commanding 36-18 win over the Stormers. The Warriors’ clinical finishing and solid defence ensured their progression to the semifinals, where they will face Leinster.
