Salah, who joined Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017, has become a club legend over his eight-year tenure. He has scored 243 goals and provided 111 assists in 394 appearances, making him Liverpool’s third-highest all-time scorer. This season, he has been in exceptional form, netting 32 goals and contributing 22 assists across all competitions.

The new contract is reportedly worth £400,000 per week, including bonuses, reflecting Salah’s value to the team. His decision to stay is seen as a significant boost for Liverpool, who are currently leading the Premier League by 11 points with seven games remaining.

Salah expressed his commitment to the club, stating, “I am very happy to stay at Liverpool. This club is my home, and I still have a lot to give. We have unfinished business, and I want to keep winning trophies for the fans.”

Liverpool manager Arne Slot praised the extension, highlighting Salah’s loyalty and the efforts of the club’s management in securing the deal. The club is also expected to announce a contract extension for captain Virgil van Dijk soon.

Salah’s continued presence is anticipated to play a crucial role in Liverpool’s pursuit of their 20th league title and further success in domestic and European competitions.
