The 2026/27 PSL season is officially underway, and the opening weekend delivered exactly what South African football fans had been waiting for. Defending champions Orlando Pirates began their title defence with a convincing victory, while Kaizer Chiefs also collected maximum points to ensure both Soweto giants opened the campaign on a winning note.
