Mamelodi Sundowns are back on top of African football after securing the CAF Champions League title with a tense 1-1 draw against AS FAR in Sunday night’s second leg final.

The result handed Sundowns a 2-1 aggregate victory and delivered their first continental crown since 2016.
For years, Sundowns have been labelled one of Africa’s strongest and most consistent clubs, dominating South African football while repeatedly falling short in key continental moments.
This time, they finally finished the job.
Surviving the Pressure in Morocco
The atmosphere in Rabat was hostile from the opening whistle. AS FAR came into the second leg trailing 1-0 from the first meeting in Pretoria, and the Moroccan side started aggressively, knowing they needed an early breakthrough to shift momentum.

But instead of collapsing under expectation, Sundowns responded with one of their most.
