LaLiga 2026/27: Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad Prediction

Real Madrid return to the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night when they host Real Sociedad in their postponed opening fixture of the 2026/27 LaLiga season.

Joss Mourinho’s second spell in charge began with a victory as Madrid beat Espanyol 2-1 away from home, with Carlos Espí scoring a dramatic 90th-minute winner. Real Sociedad made a less impressive start, suffering a 1-0 defeat against Real Betis.

Madrid will therefore be expected to make it two wins from two, particularly given their recent dominance of this fixture. Sociedad have not beaten Los Blancos since May 2023 and now face a difficult trip to the Bernabeu, where they have struggled historically.

Real Madrid got the result they wanted against Espanyol, even if the performance wasn’t entirely convincing.
