Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has named a 23-man squad to face Lesotho and Nigeria in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Both games will take place at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on 5 September (Lesotho) and 9 September (Nigeria).

Orlando Pirates dominate the squad with seven players called up. Sipho Chaine, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, Thalente Mbatha, Kamogelo Sebelebele, Oswin Appollis, Patrick Maswanganyi, and Relebohile Mofokeng all made the cut, underlining the Buccaneers’ depth and form.
Mamelodi Sundowns are close behind with six names included. Captain Ronwen Williams leads the group, joined by Zuko Mdunyelwa, Aubrey Modiba, Teboho Mokoena, Bathusi Aubaas, and Iqraam Rayners. Their influence remains a cornerstone of Bafana’s setup.
Kaizer Chiefs have just one representative, but Mduduzi Shabalala’s selection rewards his strong recent form and growing maturity at club level.
